Chief Strategy Officer / Hydnum Steel
Fernando Pessanha brings more than 25 years of experience in the steel sector, holding key leadership roles across operations, supply chain, and strategy. His career includes serving as VP of Operations for GERDAU in Brazil, Argentina, and Uruguay, as well as CEO of GERDAU CORSA in Mexico. He has also held board positions at MRS Logística and industry associations such as CANACERO and Instituto Aço Brasil.
Currently, as Chief Strategy Officer of Hydnum Steel, Fernando focuses on driving innovation, sustainability, and new industrial ventures, with a particular emphasis on green steel and industrial decarbonization in the Iberian Peninsula.
Fernando holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering and Master´s from internationally renowned universities.
